Joint Therapeutics Workshops
This series of six workshops is aimed at providing knowledge and supporting functional movement in your joints. Each workshop includes a 90 minute interactive presentation on joint anatomy and function, and a 90 minute yoga practice to explore alignment, poses and modifications that support joint strength, stability and movement literacy. All levels welcome. These workshops are limited to 12 participants.

Yoga for Bone Health Workshop
Join Agi for a special interactive workshop on the benefits of practicing yoga for osteopenia, osteoporosis, or building bone strength. Learn how yoga can help to improve balance and prevent falls & fractures, and participate in an extended workshop-style interactive yoga class that focuses on poses and modifications designed to strengthen muscles, improve balance & coordination, and build bone density. Suitable for all levels; no previous yoga experience required. This workshop is limited to 12 participants.

Workshops for Yoga Teachers and Therapists

These hybrid workshops (in person or online) are open to Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT) for Continuing Education (CE), students in Ajna Yoga's 300- or 800-hour yoga therapy training courses, or RYT-200 certified teachers with a minimum of one year of teaching experience. These workshops count as continuing education credits (CEC) for Yoga Alliance and CE for IAYT. To find out more and register click here.

Yoga Therapy for Hips and Knees ($380)

Dates: February 2-4, 2024
How can we support our yoga therapy clients with hip and knee issues? How does alignment from the feet influence the health of these joints? Learn the muscles, tendons and ligaments that support the hips and knees and explore strategies that we as yoga therapists can use to educate our clients on the hips and knees. Learn about specific hip and knee issues such as bursitis, groin pull, hip replacement, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, Iliotibial syndrome, complete ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL Injuries/Tear/Repair, patellofemoral syndrome (Runner’s Knees), meniscal tear/repair, osteoarthritis and knee replacement.

Yoga Therapy for Healthy Aging and Chair Yoga ($380)

Dates: April 5-7, 2024
How can yoga therapy be adapted to meet the needs of our growing aging population? What are the specific health concerns for yoga therapists to be aware of? We look at how to sequence yoga therapy on the mat and special sequencing for chair yoga. We examine specific health concerns such as arthritis, heart issues, osteoporosis, hearing loss and dementia. Included in this component are asanas, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and mudras geared to the 50+ age group.

The Business of Yoga Therapy ($380)
with Agi Mallory

The field of Yoga Therapy is growing, evolving and becoming more widely recognized as an important part of holistic, complementary health care. Yoga Therapy training’s teach students how to be of service to their communities but rarely touch on how to navigate the world of business to ensure their own sustainability. In this course participants will explore:

The key aspects to consider when developing a business plan.

Identifying and articulating your unique offerings as a Yoga Therapist.
Successful marketing strategies.
Tools for the effective day-to-day management of your business.
How to establish yourself as a professional in the field of Yoga Therapy.
Understanding credentialing
Determining the most practical paths to gain experience and professional development.
